Wales Rally hits Chester as hundreds come to see the Stars and their Cars

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Stars and cars from the Wales Rally GB hit the streets of Chester on Friday evening having completed their first day of competition in the forests of mid-Wales.
As evening fell, survivors from the first day of racing headed to the historic city arriving just after 18:30, passing under the famous Eastgate Clock, stopping for autographs and photographs on Eastgate.
Judging by the hordes of spectators who lined the streets to cheer on their rallying idols, it was a hugely popular return and for the first time in two decades.
The cars made their way to the official Dayinsure Wales Rally GB ramp and official time control on Bridge Street en route to an overnight halt back at the Deeside Rally Village just a few miles away.
Today takes place closer to Wales Rally GB’s Deeside base and includes the hugely popular, family-friendly RallyFest stage at Cholmondeley Castle – and with further unpredictable conditions forecast, nothing can be taken for granted for any of the contenders. It promises to be unmissable organisers say.[/vc_column_text][mp_carousel_1 carousel_images=”40950,40949,40948,40947,40958,40959″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
