Two weeks left to have your say on £200m Deeside road improvements

Residents to have their say on £200m road improvements before the deadline has been issued by a Flintshire politician.
Having had time to look over the proposals many people including politicians are backing the red route option as their favoured choice for Deeside.
The 12-week consultation on the two options for improving the A55/A494/A548 Deeside Corridor ends on June 5 – just under two weeks away.
[miptheme_quote author=”Alyn and Deeside AM Carl Sargeant.” style=”boxquote text-left”]This consultation is really important for the local area and I know from the letters and emails I’ve received that it’s raising strong opinions[/miptheme_quote]
The consultation looks at two proposed routes, the red or blue.
The blue route is a package of improvements on the existing A55/A494, and the red route a series of improvements over Flintshire Bridge along the A548 and a new link to the A55 at Northop.
Assembly Member for Alyn and Deeside Carl Sargeant is urging constituents to make sure they have submitted their comments on the routes to the consultation before the deadline, he said;
I’ve been happy to send the views of my constituents to the Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure Ken Skates for inclusion in the official consultation.
For anyone who has views on the proposals, whether they support the blue route or the red route, it’s really important that they submit them to the official consultation by Monday, June 5.
Talking about this locally with neighbours or on social media is great for raising awareness – but your opinion won’t count if you don’t tell the consultation about it.
I sent my own submission supporting the red route and objecting to the blue route earlier this month.
