Penyffordd stuck truck driver £100 fine for being pretty dense

North Wales Police say they have fined the driver of the truck which smashed into a bridge close to Penyyfordd railway station causing disruption to road and rail users.

The man was given a £100 fixed penalty for careless driving.

Rail users on the Wrexham to Bidston line faced lengthy delays as engineers from Network Rail inspected the bridge.

The A5104 between Penyffordd and Pontblyddyn was closed for several hours while recovery work took place.
