Strong turnout for Deestriders at Chester 10k

Deestriders Running Club members were in action across multiple events this week, with impressive performances in Chester, Colwyn Bay, and Italy.

Liz Turner represented She Ultra at the Ultrabericus Trail in Italy, a 13.5km race featuring tough terrain.

She completed the event in 1 hour and 29 minutes, joined by Liz Nuttall (McColgan).

Closer to home, several Deestriders took on the Colwyn Bay 20 on March 9.

Joey Davies led the club’s contingent, finishing in 2 hours 18 minutes and 17 seconds. He was followed by Paul Lyth (2:52:00), Rhian Lloyd (3:32:33), and Les Price (3:33:21).

Meanwhile, the popular Chester 10k took place under bright sunshine, attracting a strong Deestriders presence, both as runners and marshals.

Among the highlights, Max Dowell was the fastest club member with a time of 37:51. Ryan Johnson-Wilcock (39:54), Marc Dixon (44:53), Lisa Cooper (48:16), Andy Wainwright (52:08), and Joe Blackwell (59:22) all secured personal bests. Paul Dunbar also claimed first place in the V70 category with a time of 50:39.
