Spring celebration set for Dee Park this Saturday

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Residents in and around Shotton are invited to join the Dee Park Rangers for a Spring Celebration on Saturday 5 April, from 11am to 3pm, at Care and Repair (Old Chorus Club) on Rowley’s Drive.

The family-friendly event promises an afternoon packed with live entertainment, creative activities, local food and community spirit. Highlights include a vibrant samba band performance and a captivating circus show, alongside workshops where attendees can try their hand at circus skills, willow weaving and macrame.

Children and families can also enjoy an Easter Trail, while arts and crafts stations will give visitors a chance to get hands-on and creative. A selection of local stalls will be set up on the day, offering a variety of items, while food options will include traditional fish and chips and ice cream.

The celebration marks the conclusion of a special community project led by the Dee Park Rangers and is aimed at bringing people together to welcome the new season and recognise the contribution of volunteers.

Organisers say the event is a chance to “celebrate spring, wildflowers, and the hard work of our volunteers and community.”

Entry is free, and everyone is welcome.
