Man Detained As Sandycroft Incident Ends

There are reports of an ‘ongoing’ police incident in Sandycroft.

 

UPDATE 5:22pm: Police have indicated that the incident is being brought to a close after a ‘local man’ was detained. More details expected shortly.

Police have put a cordon in place, Chemistry Lane and Factory Lane have been closed while police deal with the incident.

We were told by several people of an incident which is believed to have begun on Sunday afternoon.

A large number of police vehicles, both marked and unmarked are currently in the area, there are also reports of armed police and dog units in the area.

A couple of comments on our Facebook page say police were there yesterday and had told the owner of a workshop they were looking for three men, while another comment said they saw a man being arrested at 5pm yesterday.

Police have not said what the nature of the incident is as yet, they have however they have said on twitter;

North Wales Police managing on-going incident please avoid area to allow emergency services free access.
