Police urge vigilance after wave of shed break-ins in Flintshire

Police have issued a warning to residents in Holywell and Greenfield following a series of shed break-ins over recent weeks.
Despite a suspect being arrested for multiple offences and currently out on bail, reports of thefts continue.
North Wales Police have urged homeowners to check the security of their sheds and outbuildings, as the break-ins are believed to be occurring in the early hours of the morning.
Stolen items have included garden tools, power tools, and bicycles.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said:
“We have been receiving reports of shed breaks consistently over the passed few weeks. We have arrested a suspect for a number of offences and they remain on bail, however we are still receiving reports.”
Residents are being encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
The police added:
“We urge you to check any sheds / outbuildings for their security. The incidents have been in the very early hours of the morning and there have been a number of garden tools / power tools and bikes stolen.
Please remain vigilant, and if you notice any suspicious behaviour in the early hours please contact us as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact North Wales Police via 101 or report online via the force’s website.
