Residents in the Mold Road area of Connah’s Quay and the adjacent streets are on alert, following numerous reports of individuals attempting to enter vehicles on the night of the 22nd.

North Wales Police (NWP) is investigating the incidents by seeking any CCTV footage residents may have, to glean more information about the suspicious activity.

One local resident posted footage on social media of a person trying the door handle of their vehicle, which was parked on their driveway in Hollowbrook Drive.

An individual in a black bubble coat and wearing a backpack can be seen jumping over a low garden wall and trying the car door just before 5 am on Friday. A second person in dark-coloured clothes can be seen walking in the background.

North Flintshire Police said in a statement:

“We have received a number of reports regarding persons attempting to enter vehicles on the evening of the 22nd. We will be out and about today, looking for any CCTV opportunities and checking in with residents. We ask that if you do have CCTV or Ring Doorbells to review and contact NWP on 101, or online with reference A153149.”
