Nomads are off to Helsinki in Europa League First Qualifying Round

Connah’s Quay Nomads will be heading to Finland in the Europa League First Qualifying Round, they have been drawn against HJK Helsinki – “The Football Club of Helsinki” from Finland.

HJK Helsinki – “The Football Club of Helsinki” from Finland play their home games at the 10,770-seat artificially turfed Telia 5G areena.

 

Helsinki finished second in the Veikkausliiga and have previously faced Welsh opposition when they defeated Bangor City in the 2011-12 season, recording the Club’s highest ever victory with a 13-0 aggregate victory.

The home leg will be played at Bangor City Stadium on Thursday, 29th June while the away leg will take place at Helsinki’s Telia 5G Areena on Thursday 6th July.

The current squad included Brazilian Rafinha — nope not the Barca player but Rafael Scapini De Almeida the club captain.
