Man sought in connection with assault on train between Liverpool and Chester

British Transport Police say they would like to speak to this man (pictured above) in connection with an assault in which the offender tried to bite the victim’s face.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on 17 December, the victim – a 47-year-old man – was travelling on a train between Liverpool James Street and Chester.

He was approached by a man, who assaulted him, punching him and attempting to bite his face.

Officers investigating the incident say the attack appears completely unprovoked.

Police believe this man may have information which could help the investigation.
