Man sentenced for thefts from vehicles in Mold

A man has been sentenced after admitting to stealing from vehicles in Mold.
Ryan Seaman, 27, of Maes y Dre, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court today (Thursday, December 12th), where he was charged with three counts of theft from cars and one count of vehicle interference.
The charges followed his arrest on Wednesday, December 11th, in connection with incidents reported on Tai Maes, Hafod Alyn, and Bridge Street that same evening.
Seaman was found to have stolen money, a bank card, and keys from unlocked vehicles and was also accused of interfering with another car.
He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for six months, and ordered to pay compensation to the victims.
Ricky Richardson, 40, of Denbigh Road, Mold, was also charged with vehicle interference in connection with the incident on Bridge Street. He has been bailed to appear before Mold Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 2nd.
Sergeant Kerry Nash of North Wales Police said: “I am reminding residents to ensure their vehicles are always locked and secure at night and that all valuable items are removed or hidden to help prevent these opportunistic crimes taking place.
“Anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour in their area is asked to contact us by calling 101, or via the website using the link below.”
