Man from north Wales arrested by Merseyside detectives investigating Wirral gas explosion

Merseyside police say detectives investigating a huge gas explosion in New Ferry in March have arrested two men.
Officers executed warrants at addresses in North Wales and in Wirral this morning.
A 62-year-old man, from the North Wales area, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit arson with intent/reckless as to whether life was endangered and an offence under the Fraud Act 2006.
A 55-year-old man, from Wirral, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit arson with intent/reckless as to whether life was endangered and an offence under the Fraud Act 2006.
Both men will be questioned by detectives today.around the site of the.
The massive blast which was heard in Deeside, destroyed several buildings including one which was home to a dance studio called Complete Works on Boundary Road, Port Sunlight.
Around 10 homes were badly damaged in the explosion and over 100 residents had to be evacuated. dozens were injured in the blast
