The Airbus Employment Truck has embarked on a nationwide tour, with a scheduled stop at Airbus Broughton today, Wednesday and Thursday, 25 and 26 October.

The visit aims to inspire the next generation of aerospace enthusiasts.

The key motive behind this innovative tour is to showcase the multitude of industry placements, apprenticeships, and the diverse range of STEM-related activities and games Airbus offers.

The purpose of the visit is to promote Airbus’s industry placements and apprenticeships through STEM-related activities and games.

Those attending will also have the opportunity to engage with Airbus’s recruiting team, gaining insights into the numerous opportunities available within the aerospace giant.

This year, Airbus’s Broughton site, recognised as the company’s largest in the UK and noted for producing half the world’s wings, set an impressive record.

A substantial 279 apprentices, graduates, and interns have joined as part of the 2023 intake.

This number is the highest of Early Career new starters the company has welcomed in over a decade.

The Airbus spokesperson expressed the company’s excitement, saying, “It’s fantastic to be bringing the truck to Broughton.”

“We’ll be promoting our top-tier early career programmes across the UK.”

“In Broughton, specifically, we are seeking degree apprentices in areas such as digital, engineering, supply chain, wing components, flight physics, and more.”

Additionally, Airbus offers a wide variety of apprenticeship schemes and internships across different fields.

From Engineering Manufacturing, Electronic degrees, and Technical and Craft programmes to fields like IT and Telecoms, Procurement and Supply Chain, Business Management and Development, and even Cyber Security, the choices are vast.

Applications for graduate roles and internships are now open to the public.

Meanwhile, apprenticeship applications opened on 2 October, inviting aspiring aviation enthusiasts to join the Airbus family and influence the future of the aviation industry.

The truck will be open between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday and Thursday and is located on the car park of Airbus Broughton,
