Iceland recalls vegetable lasagne over plastic risk

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Deeside headquartered supermarket chain Iceland Foods has issued a recall for its 400g Vegetable Lasagne due to concerns that some packs may contain hard pieces of plastic, making them unsafe to eat.

The recall affects products with best-before dates of 23 July 2026 and 30 July 2026. Only these specific batches are impacted.

Customers who have purchased the affected lasagne are advised not to consume it and to return it to any Iceland store for a full refund, with no receipt required.

A spokesperson for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) confirmed the recall, stating: “Iceland Foods Ltd is recalling the above product. The company has issued a recall notice to its customers, explaining why the product is being recalled and advising them on what to do.”

Iceland has provided a customer helpline for those seeking further information. Shoppers can contact 0800 328 0800 for assistance.

The recall notice will remain in place until 4 April 2025, and customers are urged to check their freezers and return any affected packs as soon as possible.
