HGV driver caught going the wrong way down a Deeside dual-carriageway whilst drunk jailed for 42 weeks

A HGV driver who was caught travelling the wrong way down a dual-carriageway in Deeside on Good Friday whilst over the legal drink drive limit has been jailed for 42 weeks.

NWP Roads Policing Unit posted the update on social media this morning.

The driver, from Moldova, has also been disqualified from driving for two years. He was stopped after a member of the public contacted the police.

NWP Roads Policing Unit say: “If you suspect a drink or drug driver please let us know via 101. In an emergency always dial 999.”
