Giant Welsh dragon greets visitors to Flint Castle over the weekend

Visitors to Flint Castle have been coming face to face with a giant Welsh dragon over the weekend.

The massive dragon seen emerging from the ground measures four metres in length, two metres wide and has reptile-like black and red scales.

The mythical beast weighing in at a whopping one tonne, is making an appearances at Flint Castle until 4pm on Sunday as part of a Cadw historic adventures tour and will the see it move onto Caerphilly and Chepstow Castles.

The team behind the dragon is Cardiff-based Wild Creations, they make props, displays and projects to promote events and companies and were responsible for an enormous rugby ball creation seen smashing through the outer wall of Cardiff Castle to celebrate Rugby World Cup.
