Flintshire Business Week gets off to a great start

The Right Honourable Lord Barry Jones opened a spectacular Business Exhibition held in the Sports Hall at Coleg Cambria Deeside site as part of Flintshire Business Week.

Coleg Cambria Principal & Chief Executive, David Jones endorsed the warm welcome to businesses alongside Cllr. Derek Butler, Flintshire County Council, and all thanked Paul Islip of Westbridge Furniture for his sponsorship of the event.

Flintshire Business Week which is in its ninth year supports the business community in Flintshire to platform their business whilst maximising trading opportunities, promoting to a wide range of delegates representing companies.

Coleg Cambria hosted the first event of the week, an impressive networking event incorporating stands and interactive opportunities.

Following breakfast and the official opening by Lord Jones, delegates benefited from sessions including “Superfast Broadband for your Business” by Michael Groves, Welsh Government; “Social Media for Business” Facebook, Twitter, Linked In by Inputus; “Why Google is the holy grail of business advertising” by ProPPC and a Google Representative; “Academia and Industry, Apprenticeships and Training” by Coleg Cambria; “Business Entrepreneurship Network” by Communities First and “Social Enterprise Development” by Flintshire County Council.

The highly acclaimed six day business networking event involves over 2500 companies every year.

Coleg Cambria’s Business Exhibition is followed by “Regional Prospects for Growth” held at Springfield Hotel in Holywell; “National & Regional Economy” at St David’s Hotel, Ewloe and concluding with Flintshire Business Awards Gala Dinner held at Soughton Hall, Northop.
