Fire crews called to late-night rescue near Sealand Road

Firefighters in Chester were called to rescue a person trapped in knee-high mud near Sealand Road in the early hours of this morning , Tuesday, 4 March.

Two fire crews responded to the incident at around 12.30am after reports that an individual had slipped down an embankment and become stuck.

Firefighters lifted the person from the mud and provided first aid before leaving them in the care of paramedics.

A fire service spokesperson said: “Two fire engines from Chester attended the scene. Firefighters lifted a person who was stuck in knee-high mud from down an embankment. They gave them first aid and left them in the care of paramedics.”
