A Shotton-based home care agency is celebrating after receiving another excellent inspection report from Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

Deeside Home Care Ltd cares for adults and older people with a range of support needs, including physical disabilities, mental health conditions, dementia, learning disabilities, and sensory impairment.

The agency provides home care visits across the Deeside area, with a focus on Shotton, Connahs Quay and Hawarden.

Since its launch eleven years ago, Deeside Home Care has won national awards for its high standard of care and has continued to go from strength to strength.

As part of the inspection process, the CIW inspector spoke to service users, their relatives, members of staff, and the leadership team to gain an understanding of the quality of care being delivered.

The inspectors report says the “care service supports people to maintain their quality of life and independence in their own homes, providing reliable and flexible care to those with a range of support needs.”

“People report positive experiences with warm and friendly care staff who provide choice and control in their care.”

“Care staff enjoy working for the agency, feeling valued and involved in decision-making.”

“The provider seeks feedback and works to continuously improve the service, with a focus on person-centered care.”

“Professionals praise the agency for its caring and competent approach.”

Agency Owner and Manager, Natalie Marshall, said, “We are delighted that our high-quality care has once again been recognized through this very positive inspection report.”

“We always put our service users at the heart of everything we do, and this report is evidence of that.”

“We are proud of our fantastic team who are absolutely dedicated to their roles and want to make a difference to the lives of our service users, and this report reflects this.”

Deeside Home Care currently employs a team of 16 staff from the local area and is looking to expand this year, recruiting for experienced carers who have a genuine desire to help others so that they can meet the high demand for services in Flintshire.
