Deeside fighter Brave effort from Deeside fighter Tom Doran vs Chris Eubank Jr

Connah’s Quay boxer Tom ‘Dazzlin’ Doran suffered the first defeat of his professional career in a spirited performance against a cocky Chris Eubank Jr on Saturday evening at London’s o2 Arena.
It was Eubank Jnr’s first fight and defense of his British middleweight crown since ending the career of Cardiff-based boxer Nick Blackwell after leaving him in an induced coma with a bleed on the brain back in March.
Doran 28, came into the fight with a perfect 17-0 record, including an explosive two round TKO against Luke Keeler in April at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.
It was the biggest fight of his career and Doran looked confident in the opening round as he opened up with the first shots.
Eubank Jr invokes the whole ‘marmite’ thing in boxing fans, clearly a talent, fast and ruthless but his showboating sent many on social media into a bit of spin and earned him a verbal warning early doors from ref Marcus McDonnell.

Doran was down again shortly into the fourth after a powerful combination from the Brighton based boxer.
The showboating started again from Eubank Jnr before a right uppercut saw referee Marcus McDonnell call it a night from Doran two minutes and 35 seconds in.
