A new women’s group, Cwtch Life, has launched with the goal of fostering friendships, creating meaningful connections, and inspiring adventures for women of all ages in North East Wales and beyond.

Founded by Antonia Jones, a Mold resident and head of marketing at Wrexham University, and Hannah Lea, a Wrexham-based web and digital manager at Chester University, the group addresses the challenges many women face in forming connections as they grow older.

“At its heart, Cwtch Life is about connection and belonging,” said co-founder Antonia Jones.

“We understand how isolating life can feel, especially in today’s fast-paced world. That’s why we’ve created a community where women can share experiences, form lasting bonds, and embark on exciting adventures.”

The name “Cwtch,” a warm Welsh term meaning a cuddle or a place of comfort, reflects the group’s ethos of creating a safe and welcoming environment.

In addition to building friendships, Cwtch Life aims to empower women through personal growth.

The group offers workshops, talks, and shared experiences to encourage members to explore their potential, develop new skills, and embrace challenges.

Co-founder Hannah Lea said the group is about more than casual connection.

“Cwtch Life is more than just a group – it’s a community where women can truly feel at home. Whether it’s sharing stories over coffee, exploring the outdoors, or learning new skills together, our aim is to create a space where women feel valued and connected.”

From informal social gatherings and cultural trips to workshops that spark creativity and encourage self-reflection, the activities planned by Cwtch Life are designed to create opportunities for women to meet, grow, and support one another. Through these experiences, the group aims to combat isolation and nurture meaningful relationships that can transform lives.

Antonia and Hannah’s vision is to provide a space where women can explore new interests, create lasting memories, and find the support they need to thrive. The group is open to women of all ages and backgrounds who are looking to connect, grow, and have fun.

Cwtch Life is now welcoming members to join its events and online community. For more information or to get involved, search Cwtch Life on Facebook or Instagram or visit Cwtch Life on Facebook.
