Coastguard rescue teams called into action after man gets stuck in mud near Flint Castle

Coastguard rescue teams form Flint and Rhyl were called out early this morning to reports of a man stuck in mud near Flint Castle.

Flint Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted by Holyhead Coastguard to the incident at around 6.10am this morning, mud rescue technicians from Rhyl were also called in to assist.

Officers from Flint quickly arrived on scene and found a male completely stuck with his left leg submerged in mud.

Coastguard mud technicians from Rhyl arrived on scene and were deployed onto the mud to extract the man.

The casualty was put onto a stretcher where he was bought ashore and handed over to the care of North Wales Ambulance Service.
