A Fabrication and Welding Lecturer from Coleg Cambria was recently honoured with a Livery Company Award at St James’s Palace.

Victor Walsh recently received the City & Guilds’ Medals for Excellence after being nominated by a student and as a result was shortlisted for a Livery Company Award to which he was awarded.

Presented with the accolade by HRH The Princess Royal, Vic and his wife enjoyed afternoon tea at the palace whilst meeting other recipients and guests.

Vic, who has since returned to the classroom said:

“It was an honour to receive the Livery Company Award at St James’s Palace and to be recognised for my work at Coleg Cambria. The ceremony was very exclusive and the whole experience will be something I will never forget.”

“We are very proud of Vic” added Coleg Cambria’s Assistant Principal & Director of Curriculum, Nick Tyson. “Being honoured with the Livery Company Award is a remarkable achievement”
