Mountain Lane School, Buckley held a Charity Golf Day at Padeswood and Buckley which raised a massive £5,250 for Air Ambulance Wales.

The annual event has been held at the Flintshire club for the last 12 years and during that period more than £70,000 has been raised to support a wide range of local and national charities.

Annually a new charity is nominated – usually linked to the school or Buckley Community.

The main charity this year was Air Ambulance Wales, £1,000 was also donated to The British Heart Foundation

The school is appreciative of the excellent support given by Padeswood & Buckley golf club when the event is held there and also of the many local and national companies who sponsor the competition.

The two main sponsors in recent years have been Hanson Cement and Padeswood and Care at Home.
