Armed police make arrest in Holywell following reports a man with an axe had made threats

Armed police were called to an address in Holywell earlier today following reports that a man with an axe had made threats and caused damage.

Officers from Cheshire and North Wales Police Alliance Armed Policing Unit located the man at his home address, he was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.  

A post on the armed unit’s Twitter account states:

“Deployment to Holywell after reports male had caused damage and threats with an axe. Male located to home address and after brief search, male arrested for numerous offences. Now our guest at custody.”

Police haven’t released any more details.
