Air ambulance responds to medical emergency in Saltney

An Air Ambulance has responded to a medical emergency in Saltney this afternoon, Monday 26 June.

The aircraft was spotted landing just before 2pm near Boundary Lane in Saltney.

Traffic along Boundary Lane was brought to a standstill while the distinctive red helicopter from the Welsh Air Ambulance service landed.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance service told Deeside.com:

“We were called at shortly before 2.25pm this afternoon (Monday 26 June) to reports of a medical emergency at an address in Saltney.

The Wales Air Ambulance, a crew in an emergency ambulance and a paramedic in a rapid response car are at the scene.

A man has been airlifted to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in a serious condition.”
