Put the kettle on, tuck into a slice of cake and raise some cash for a fantastic cause – sounds like a great plan!

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, is back next week and the people of Deeside will busy baking for the event being next Friday, September 30 – helping to raise vital funds (and cakes) for the charity.

It is Macmillan’s biggest fund-raising event of the year and helps them continue their vital work in supporting those with cancer and their families.

Friends of Wepre Park are teaming up with the newly formed Shotton WI to host a coffee next from 10am Friday, 30th September at the visitors centre in Wepre Park.

Last year alone Macmillan Cancer Support raised £25 million and they are aiming to raise even more this year.
